h3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle

Module: H3C-RMON-EXT2-MIB

OID (symbolic): H3C-RMON-EXT2-MIB::h3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.10.2.125.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: The lifetime (in seconds) starts when an alarm entry is set in valid state.

If the entry has an infinite lifetime, the value of this object MUST be 0. Otherwise the value MUST be greater than the value of h3cRmonExtAlarmInterval.

This object may not be modified if the associated alarmStatus object is equal to valid.

What is h3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle?

This read-create integer, 0-4294967 seconds and defaulting to 0, sets how long this alarm entry remains active after being set to valid; a value of 0 means the entry never expires, while any other value must exceed h3cRmonExtAlarmInterval, and it cannot be modified once the entry's status is valid. Admins use it to create a temporary alarm that automatically expires after a defined period, useful for short-term diagnostic monitoring. For example, an admin troubleshooting an intermittent issue for one day might set h3cRmonExtAlarmStatCycle to 86400 so the alarm automatically removes itself after 24 hours.
