Carries node identification information about where a switchover occurred, included as a varbind in redundancy-group traps. Admins use it to immediately identify, from the trap alone, which node was involved in the switchover event without needing a separate query. A trap naming a specific chassis or node identifier tells the admin exactly which hardware experienced the switchover.
