This octet string holds the activation key associated with a given AP-number license entry, the credential used to unlock that license's grant. An administrator can compare this against vendor records to verify a license was activated correctly and hasn't been tampered with or reused improperly. For example, an activation key mismatch here versus the vendor's issued record would indicate the license was applied incorrectly.
