gwTegwNetworkRestored
Module: GW-MIB
OID (symbolic): GW-MIB::gwTegwNetworkRestored
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.1.18.1.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Enable generation of an SNMP trap upon detection of an network restore of the specified gateway.
What is gwTegwNetworkRestored?
This read-write integer configures how the system reacts when the specified gateway's network connection comes back up, again choosing among enabling a trap, disabling all, enabling logging, or enabling both. Admins use it to decide whether a recovery event is surfaced via trap, recorded in a log, or both, so a NOC knows not just that a gateway failed but also when it recovers. Setting gwTegwNetworkRestored to enableTrap(1) would fire an SNMP trap the moment that gateway's network connectivity is restored, without also writing a local log entry.
