Description: A unique value which identify a particular gfp port in the equipment. The value of this index is a constant value assigned to an entry at equipment design time. It is usualy related to harware. Its values are mapped to channelIndex values.

What is gfpIndex?

The unique index of a particular GFP port, mapped to the underlying channelIndex, per its DESCRIPTION. It's the INDEX column tying together that port's packet counters, rates, state, and failure-severity settings in gfpTable.
