a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier
Module: GENERIC-3COM-VLAN-MIB-1-0-1
OID (symbolic): GENERIC-3COM-VLAN-MIB-1-0-1::a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.14.1.2.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: An administratively assigned global VLAN identifier. For VLAN interfaces, on different network devices, which are part of the same globally identified VLAN, the value of this object will be the same.
The binding between a global identifier and a VLAN interface can be created or removed. To create a binding an NMS must write a non-zero value to this object. To delete a binding, the NMS must write a zero to this object.
What is a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier?
This writable value binds a local VLAN interface to a global VLAN identifier shared across multiple 3Com devices, or clears that binding. Writing a non-zero value here creates an entry in the a3ComVlanGlobalMappingTable linking this interface to the global VLAN; writing 0 removes that binding, which matters for coordinating VLAN membership consistently across a multi-switch network. An admin wiring three 3Com switches into the same site-wide VLAN would set a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier to the same value, say 200, on the corresponding VLAN interface of each device.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.14.1.2.1.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> GENERIC-3COM-VLAN-MIB-1-0-1::a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.14.1.2.1.4.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> a3ComVlanIfGlobalIdentifier.1
