What is a3ComVlanGlobalMappingIdentifier?
This value is the administratively assigned global VLAN identifier that ties together VLAN interfaces representing the same logical VLAN across multiple 3Com devices. Because it's used as the table index, an NMS reads it to discover which local VLAN interface, via a3ComVlanGlobalMappingIfIndex, corresponds to a particular global VLAN ID, letting it correlate VLAN topology spanning several switches. If two 3Com switches both have an entry with a3ComVlanGlobalMappingIdentifier equal to 100, an NMS can infer both devices' local VLAN interfaces belong to the same site-wide VLAN 100.
