a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable
Module: GENERIC-3COM-TRUNK-MIB
OID (symbolic): GENERIC-3COM-TRUNK-MIB::a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.15.1.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object specifies if the Trunk Control Message Protocol(TCMP) is currently enabled for operation on a specific trunk. TCMP is used to dynamically control the configuration and operation of a trunk port and its constituent MACs.
What is a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable?
This read-write INTEGER specifies whether the Trunk Control Message Protocol (TCMP) is enabled for operation on a specific trunk, with values notAvailable(1), tcmpDisable(2), or tcmpEnable(3), defaulting to tcmpEnable. TCMP is used to dynamically control the configuration and operation of a trunk port and its constituent MACs, so an admin disables it only when interoperating with equipment that doesn't support the protocol. For example, an admin would set a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable to tcmpDisable(2) when connecting the trunk to a non-3Com switch that lacks TCMP support.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.15.1.1.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> GENERIC-3COM-TRUNK-MIB::a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.1.15.1.1.1.3.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> a3ComTrunkTcmpEnable.1
