cpuLoad5
Module: GC-MIB
OID (symbolic): GC-MIB::cpuLoad5
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.17163.1.100.5.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-only
Description: One-minute CPU load in hundreths
What is cpuLoad5?
This object is named for a five-minute CPU load average expressed in hundredths, though its source MIB description text literally repeats the one-minute wording used for cpuLoad1, apparently a copy-paste artifact in the vendor's MIB. An admin still uses it alongside cpuLoad1 and cpuLoad15 to judge whether a CPU spike is transient or building into a sustained trend. For example, a cpuLoad5 value that stays elevated after cpuLoad1 has already dropped suggests a load spike is trailing off rather than getting worse.
