What is pppoeplusOnOff?

This setting turns the PPPoE Plus feature on or off, a feature (similar in spirit to DHCP Option 82) that inserts extra subscriber-identifying information, such as the physical port or VLAN, into PPPoE discovery packets so a broadband access server can identify exactly where a subscriber's session is coming from. A carrier or ISP administrator enables this on access switches to give their BRAS or access concentrator the extra location data needed for per-subscriber policy enforcement or billing. With the default described as off, PPPoE Plus tagging must be explicitly turned on for a switch to start inserting this subscriber-location information.
