sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes

Module: GBNDeviceSWAPI-MIB

OID (symbolic): GBNDeviceSWAPI-MIB::sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1.2.2.2.8.4.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: DURABLE: { 1:all } When this is admitOnlyVlanTagged(2) the device will discard untagged frames or Priority-Tagged frames received on this port. When admitAll(1), untagged frames or Prority-Tagged frames received on this port will be accepted and assigned to the PVID for this port.

This control does not affect VLAN independent BPDU frames, such as GVRP and STP. It does affect VLAN dependent BPDU frames, such as GMRP.

What is sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes?

Controls whether this port accepts only 802.1Q-tagged frames (admitOnlyVlanTagged) or also untagged/priority-tagged frames assigned to the PVID (admitAll). Setting it to tagged-only is a common way to lock down a trunk port so it won't silently accept untagged traffic.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1.2.2.2.8.4.5.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> GBNDeviceSWAPI-MIB::sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1.2.2.2.8.4.5.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> GBNDeviceSWAPI-MIB::sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1.2.2.2.8.4.5.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> sDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes.1
