oemArchIfaceDuplexSpeedSet

Module: GBNDeviceOEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): GBNDeviceOEM-MIB::oemArchIfaceDuplexSpeedSet

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13464.1.2.2.3.1.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: DURABLE: { autonegotiate:all } The desired speed and duplex for this interface. If the selected control is not possible on the interface, a value of illegal(99) is returned. If the port type does NOT support the default of autonegotiate(1), then the application initializes the port to a valid value (e.g., 1000full(6)). Note that not all controls are possible for all interfaces. For example, only full-1000(6) is available for Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.

What is oemArchIfaceDuplexSpeedSet?

This read-write enumerated object configures the desired speed and duplex mode for an interface, among options like autonegotiate(1), full-1000(7), or specific half/full 10/100 combinations, returning illegal(99) if the selected setting isn't supported by the port. Admins use this to force a specific speed/duplex when autonegotiation isn't desired or isn't working correctly with the connected device. For example, setting this to full-100(5) on a port connected to an older device with unreliable autonegotiation would force a fixed 100Mbps full-duplex link instead.
