This trap is send when a SPVC call is established. It identifies the SPVC and the old and new cost. If the call has not been up before, the pnniSpvcSrcOldRouteCost will be -1. This trap is only sent if pnniSpvcTrapMode is failure or all.

What is pnniSpvccUp?

This is an alarm notification triggered when an ATM switched virtual connection (SPVC) successfully establishes. It reports the connection ID and routing costs before/after the change to track when critical paths come online. An engineer monitors this during ATM network failover to verify backup circuits activated correctly.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::pnniSpvccUp
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.2005

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
