Description: This vairable defines the per-port configuration for the use of the VC level Alternate CLP Thresholdold on CBR/rtVBR connections. The states mean the following: allOn: All CBR/rtVBR connections use the alt CLP threshold. allOff: No CBR/rtVBR connections use the alt CLP threshold. svcOn: All CBR/rtVBR SVC's will use the alt CLP threshold. For CBR/rtVBR PVC's, whether the alt CLP threshold is used is determined by the presence or absence of the 'altCLPthresh' flag in the UPC contract. svcOff: No CBR/rtVBR SVC's will use the alt CLP threshold. For CBR/rtVBR PVC's, whether the alt CLP threshold is used is determined by the presence or absence of the 'altCLPthresh' flag in the UPC contract.
What is pShmem3ConfAltCLPConfigCBR?
Holds a setting controlling whether alternate Cell Loss Priority thresholds apply to CBR and rtVBR traffic. This affects congestion management on virtual circuits. A carrier uses this to tune whether premium traffic classes use different drop policies.
