What is mbufsHeaderAlloc?

This OID is a read-only counter showing how many memory buffers (small chunks of RAM) are currently allocated to store packet headers (the control information at the beginning of each data packet). It reflects real-time memory usage. A network operator would monitor this value to detect memory leaks or unusual traffic patterns that cause excessive header memory consumption.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.1.3.3.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Switch-MIB::mbufsHeaderAlloc

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.1.3.3.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Switch-MIB::mbufsHeaderAlloc.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mbufsHeaderAlloc.1
