Description:
Writing a value of resetRequest will result in a reset of all physical interface counters on this port. VCC indexed counters are excluded. A response value of resetTrue indicates a resetRequest has succeeded and is currently in effect. A response value of resetFalse indicates a reset is not currently in effect.
What is hwPortCounterReset?
This object triggers a reset of all physical interface counters on a specific port when written with a resetRequest value, excluding per-VCC (Virtual Channel Connection) metrics. Network operators use this to clear historical counter data before starting a new measurement period or after troubleshooting. The system responds with resetTrue when the reset is active or resetFalse when no reset is in progress.
