crGeneralFailure
Module: Fore-Switch-MIB
OID (symbolic): Fore-Switch-MIB::crGeneralFailure
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1033
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
This trap is generated when any of the callrecord related functionality fails for any reason. One example would be when the Callrecord Module fails to schedule an interval timer.
What is crGeneralFailure?
This OID represents an alert notification (trap) triggered when call record processing fails in switch equipment. When such a trap fires, it signals a serious problem that requires investigation. A network operator receiving this trap would immediately check switch logs to understand why call detail recording has failed, as this blocks billing or compliance reporting.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::crGeneralFailure snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1033
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:60448->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (133726752) 15 days, 11:27:47.52 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: Fore-Switch-MIB::crGeneralFailure
