The number of cells on this channel that were rejected (dropped) by the policer on the switch fabric. This does not include any cells that may have been tagged with CLP=1 by the policer, only cells that were discarded.

What is chanRejectedCells?

This OID counts ATM (data cell) packets that were dropped on a network channel due to traffic policing rules. It measures congestion handling: when traffic exceeds limits, excess cells are discarded entirely. Network staff use this to detect when channels are overloaded and need bandwidth increases or traffic rerouting.
