Description:
The channel Cell Delay Variation Tolerance (CDV), specified in microseconds, indicates the time window in which a cell may be received on a channel and be accepted. A cell that is received on a channel outside the CDV window will be dropped or tagged, based on the value of chanPolicingAction. The chanCDV value overrides the default value inherited from the link.
What is chanCDV?
This read-create object configures the Cell Delay Variation (CDV) tolerance in microseconds for an ATM channel, controlling the acceptable time window for cell arrival. An operator sets this parameter to enforce timing constraints and drop out-of-window cells according to policing rules.
