What is asxSonetLOFCleared?

This OID represents an alarm notification that a Loss-of-Frame (LOF) optical signal failure has been resolved on a SONET line. It tells the operator that the transmission line is no longer experiencing frame synchronization problems. A network manager watches for this to confirm that an optical link repair or equipment replacement successfully restored service.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxSonetLOFCleared
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.131

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
