Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
This trap is generated whenever calls are cleared in a signalling interface for the following reasons. * Carrier loss * SONET alarms in case of SONE * VP failure
What is asxQ2931CallClearing?
This OID represents an alert message (trap) sent whenever calls are terminated due to physical link failure, signal problems, or virtual circuit outages. It tells you why connections were dropped on a signaling interface. An operator would receive this alert to quickly identify that calls are being lost and investigate the underlying physical or circuit failure.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxQ2931CallClearing snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1095
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
