Description:

This trap alerts that one ATM switch power supply that had an input failure is up. The power supply that is back up is identified by the power supply index.

What is asxPsInputUp?

This SNMP trap notification alerts operators that an ATM switch power supply, which previously had a failed input stage, has now recovered to normal operation. The trap message includes the index of the specific power supply that has returned to service. Data center operators use this to acknowledge power supply recovery events and verify that redundant power feeds are functioning correctly.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxPsInputUp
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.7

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
