OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1025

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap indicates that the output queue for the given priority has overflowed and cells have been dropped.

What is asxOutputQueueCellLoss?

This SNMP trap (notification) is generated when an output queue at a given priority level overflows and begins discarding ATM cells. It signals an immediate congestion event at the egress interface. An operator receives this alert to understand when and where cell loss is occurring on the switch fabric.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxOutputQueueCellLoss
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1025

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
