Description:
An asxNetModuleDown trap signifies that the sending protocol entity recognizes a failure in one of the ATM Switch network modules, that is identified by the board and the module numbers. This is probably caused by a hot-swap of a network module.
What is asxNetModuleDown?
This SNMP trap notification indicates that an ATM switch network module has failed or been hot-swapped, and is no longer operational on the ATM switch. The trap includes board and module identification to pinpoint the failed hardware. Network operations centers use this alarm to immediately dispatch field technicians for hardware replacement.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
