asxJ2YellowDetected
Module: Fore-Switch-MIB
OID (symbolic): Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2YellowDetected
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.112
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
This trap indicates that Yellow Alarm is detected on the incoming signal.
What is asxJ2YellowDetected?
This OID is an alert notification that triggers when the incoming signal detects a Yellow Alarm condition (a degraded but not completely failed signal). It tells you the circuit's signal quality has degraded and requires attention. A network operations center monitoring ATM switches would receive this alert to investigate potential circuit issues before total failure.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2YellowDetected snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.112
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:51398->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (494610630) 57 days, 5:55:06.30 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2YellowDetected
SNMPv3 example:
snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2YellowDetected
