Description:

This trap indicates that Transmit Loss of Clock (TLOC) is detected.

What is asxJ2TLOCDetected?

This SNMP trap notification fires when the system detects a Transmit Loss of Clock (TLOC) condition on an ATM switch interface, alerting operators to a critical timing failure. TLOC indicates that the port cannot maintain synchronization with the incoming signal clock, which will cause immediate service disruption on that interface. Network operators use this alarm to quickly identify and repair damaged optical connections or defective interfaces before customer-facing services are affected.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2TLOCDetected
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.232

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
