asxJ2RLOCDetected
Module: Fore-Switch-MIB
OID (symbolic): Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2RLOCDetected
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.224
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
This trap indicates that Receive Loss of Clock (RLOC) is detected on the incoming signal.
What is asxJ2RLOCDetected?
This OID triggers an alert when the network switch detects loss of clock signal on the incoming data stream. A clock signal ensures that transmitted bits arrive synchronized at the receiver; losing it means data is corrupted or unreadable. A network engineer would expect this alert during hardware failures, loose cable connections, or fiber optic line damage affecting signal quality.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxJ2RLOCDetected snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.224
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
