Description:

This trap alerts that one ATM switch fan bank failed. The fan bank that failed is identified by the fan bank index.

What is asxFanBankDown?

This notification (trap) is sent when a cooling fan bank in a Fore ATM switch fails and stops operating, indicating a critical infrastructure event. The notification includes the fan bank index and trap log reference so operators know which specific fan failed. System administrators receiving this alert must plan fan replacement to prevent overheating and switch shutdown.
