Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap indicates that the specified E1 port is experiencing Loss of Cell Deliniation (LCD). A LCD failure is declared when the LCD defect persists for a period of 2.5 +/- 0.5 seconds.

What is asxE1AtmLCDDetected?

Sends an alert when an E1 telephone line loses proper cell delineation (the rhythm that keeps data in sync). This indicates a serious signal degradation lasting more than 2 seconds on that port. A network operator would receive this alarm when troubleshooting call drops or voice quality issues on a failing trunk line.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxE1AtmLCDDetected
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.208

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
