Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap indicates that there is a change in the state of dual SCP Redundancy.

What is asxDualScpRedundancy?

This trap notification is issued when the redundancy status of dual Switching Control Processors (SCPs) changes in an ATM switch fabric. The dual SCP architecture provides high availability by allowing automatic failover if the primary processor fails. Network administrators receive this trap to be notified of any changes in the critical control plane redundancy state.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxDualScpRedundancy
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.1043

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
