What is asxDS3LOSDetected?
This is a notification trap that is sent when a DS3 port on a Fore Switch ATM device detects a Loss of Signal (LOS) alarm condition on the incoming data stream. It indicates a critical physical layer failure where the DS3 signal is no longer present. An operator would receive this trap as an alert and would investigate the physical DS3 line, check cable connections, and verify carrier signal presence.
