Module: Fore-Switch-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-Switch-MIB::asxDS1LOSCleared

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.69

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

This trap indicates that LOS Alarm is cleared on the incoming signal.

What is asxDS1LOSCleared?

This alert fires when a DS1 (T1) line recovers from a Loss-of-Signal condition, meaning data transmission is restored and the connection is healthy again. This is good news—the line is working again. A network operator watches for this after an earlier LOS alarm to confirm the link has recovered.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' Fore-Switch-MIB::asxDS1LOSCleared
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.0.69

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
