foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel

Module: Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This variable controls the transmit path payload. The default value for ATM is 0x13 (19 decimal). Changing the value of this variable attempts to change the payload and if successfull will change the transmitted C2 label to reflect the new payload. Use the C2 variable in the diagnostics table if you wish to change the C2 value for diagnostic purposes without actually changing the transmitted payload type.

What is foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel?

Sets the transmitted path payload type encoded in the C2 signal label byte; the default of 19 (0x13) corresponds to ATM. Changing it attempts to change the actual payload type carried on the path, so admins normally leave it at the ATM default unless reconfiguring the interface to carry a different payload.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> foreSonetPathTxSignalLabel.1
