foreSonetPathLoopbackMode
Module: Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB
OID (symbolic): Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathLoopbackMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This variable represents the current loopback status of the SONET interface. The possible values are: sonetPathNoLoop (1) means that the interface is not in a loopback state. sonetPathLineLoop (2) means that the receive data is connected to the transmit data. sonetPathDiagLoop (3) means that the transmit data stream is looped back to the receiver. sonetPathOtherLoop (4) means that the interface is in a loopback that is not defined here.
What is foreSonetPathLoopbackMode?
Sets or reports the loopback mode at the SONET Path layer: sonetPathNoLoop for normal operation, sonetPathLineLoop to connect received data straight to the transmit path, sonetPathDiagLoop to loop the transmit stream back to the receiver, or sonetPathOtherLoop for a vendor-specific mode. It's the path-layer equivalent of the medium-level loopback control, used to isolate path-level faults during troubleshooting.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.5 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathLoopbackMode
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.5.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Fore-Sonet-Ext-MIB::foreSonetPathLoopbackMode.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.1.1.14.4.1.1.5.1 i <value>
