elarpFlush

Module: Fore-Lane-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-Lane-MIB::elarpFlush

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.4.1.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This variable causes the LEC ARP cache to be flushed when it is set to enable(1).

What is elarpFlush?

Setting this to enable(1) clears the LEC's entire ARP cache, forcing it to relearn MAC-to-ATM-address mappings for its emulated LAN. An admin uses this after a network change (e.g. a host moved) to purge stale entries rather than waiting for them to age out.
