This read-create value reports the IMA protocol version an IMA group is actually operating with right now, which can be checked against foreImaVersionConfigured to confirm the negotiated or applied version matches what was intended. An administrator reads this after configuring or changing foreImaVersionConfigured to verify the group actually came up using the expected IMA version, since a mismatch here versus the configured value could indicate a negotiation or compatibility problem with the far end. For example, if foreImaVersionConfigured is set to version 2 but this object still shows an older version, that discrepancy would point the administrator toward an IMA capability mismatch to investigate.
