ifCreateServiceStatus

Module: Fore-Ifcreate-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-Ifcreate-MIB::ifCreateServiceStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.17.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: This object specifies the status of the service under creation. The service status is set to underConfig at the beginning of the service creation process. The service creation process is not considered completed until all the related MIB objects are set up properly. Then the service status is set to active. The default status is inactive.

What is ifCreateServiceStatus?

ifCreateServiceStatus indicates the provisioning state of the service under creation, taking the values underConfig, active, or inactive, with inactive as the default. The service starts as underConfig when creation begins and only moves to active once every related MIB object for that interface has been configured correctly, so admins can poll it to confirm a new service is fully up rather than still being built. For example, an admin scripting bulk interface creation would poll ifCreateServiceStatus until it reads active(2) before considering the new interface ready for traffic.
