fXfrStatus

Module: Fore-FileXfr-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-FileXfr-MIB::fXfrStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.6.2.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The current status of this file transfer. Is idle when the row becomes valid. To start the file transfer set this to go. InQueue signifies that the file transfer is waiting for resources before it begins but it will begin automatically. Busy signifies that the file transfer could not begin due to a resource allocation problem. The manager must try to restart the file transfer by setting this entry to go.

What is fXfrStatus?

This read-create object reports and controls the current state of a file transfer, moving through idle, go, inQueue, inProgress, succeeded, failed, or busy. Admins set it to go to start the configured transfer, and poll it afterward to see the transfer progress or determine whether it needs to be manually restarted after a busy resource-allocation failure. If fXfrStatus reads busy(7), the admin must set it back to go(2) to retry the transfer, since a busy transfer will not resume automatically.
