Module: Fore-Errors-MIB

OID (symbolic): Fore-Errors-MIB::lastLogMessage

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.326.1.2.1

Access: read-only

Description: The error message that was the result of last set request.

What is lastLogMessage?

This read-only text field holds the human-readable error message generated by the most recent failed SNMP SET request the device processed. An administrator reads this immediately after receiving a SET error response to understand exactly why the request was rejected, since the raw SNMP error code alone (like "badValue" or "genErr") often isn't specific enough to diagnose the problem. For example, this field might contain a message like "Value out of range for interface speed", explaining precisely why a prior configuration attempt failed.
