rtpEvtReportingObject

Module: FSC-RTP-MIB-EVENT-MGMT

OID (symbolic): FSC-RTP-MIB-EVENT-MGMT::rtpEvtReportingObject

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4329.2.1.2.1.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The reporting object is the process calling RtpEvtSendEventExt and is a field in the event logged in the event log table. In the extended notation mode, the new notation in the format MOC[:node[.object]] applies to the reportingObject (see rtpEvtFaultyObject). In non extended notation mode, the reporting object only contains the name of the reporting process. For the RtpEvtSendEvent call, faultyObject is always identical to the reportingObject.

What is rtpEvtReportingObject?

Identifies the process that reported this event, in the extended MOC[:node[.object]] notation when enabled (or just the process name otherwise); an admin uses this to trace which software component raised the alarm, as opposed to the possibly different faulty object it was raised about.
