Module: FOUNDRY-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB

OID (symbolic): FOUNDRY-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB::snSwIfVlanId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.5.1.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

What is snSwIfVlanId?

This OID holds a numeric ID representing the virtual LAN (a way to logically separate network traffic) that this switch port belongs to. It tells you which VLAN groups this port can communicate with—ports in different VLANs cannot talk to each other without a router. A network admin would configure this when setting up a new switch port to isolate departments' traffic or separate devices by function.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.5.1.24
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> FOUNDRY-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB::snSwIfVlanId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.5.1.24.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> FOUNDRY-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB::snSwIfVlanId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.5.1.24.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> snSwIfVlanId.1
