Description: If snPortMacSecurityIntfContentViolationType is shutdown(1), this value gives the number of seconds this interface is shut down when violation occurs. In the shutdown(1) case, 0 means interface is permanently down. If snPortMacSecurityIntfContentViolationType is restrict(2), this value will be always 0.

What is snPortMacSecurityIntfContentShutdownTime?

This object specifies the duration (in seconds) that an interface is automatically shut down when a MAC security violation is detected, with 0 meaning permanent shutdown. When MAC security is enabled on a port and unauthorized MAC addresses are detected, this timer determines how long the port stays disabled before potentially being re-enabled. A security administrator would configure this parameter to balance lockdown response time against the risk of legitimate devices being unable to reconnect.
