What is faRegistrationTimer?
This read-write object specifies the maximum time window (in milliseconds) during which a mobile subscriber device must complete its network registration process before the wireless base station times out and rejects the registration request. If a mobile does not finish registration handshake steps within this interval, it must start the registration sequence over. Wireless network administrators tune this parameter to balance quick device attachment against allowing slower mobile devices adequate time to complete the registration protocol.
