agentCosQueueMgmtTailDropThreshold

Module: FASTPATH-QOS-COS-MIB

OID (symbolic): FASTPATH-QOS-COS-MIB::agentCosQueueMgmtTailDropThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.3.3.2.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Sixteenths

Access: read-write

Description: Tail drop queue threshold above which all packets are dropped for the current drop precedence level. The value specifies the threshold based on a fraction of the overall device queue size in terms of sixteenths (0/16, 1/16, 2/16, ... 16/16). Since device implementations vary, the actual value deployed may be rounded up or down accordingly.

The default value is calculated from the agentCosQueueIndex and agentCosQueueDropPrecIndex as shown in the following table (values listed for drop precedence levels 1, 2, and 3, respectively): Queue Index 0: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 1: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 2: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 3: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 4: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 5: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 6: 16, 14, 12 Queue Index 7: 16, 14, 12

This object is only used when agentCosQueueMgmtType is set to taildrop(1).

What is agentCosQueueMgmtTailDropThreshold?

Obsolete object that set the tail-drop threshold, as a fraction in sixteenths (0/16-16/16) of the device's overall queue size, above which all packets at this drop-precedence level were dropped; only used when the queue's management type was taildrop(1). Superseded by the percentage-based agentCosQueueMgmtPercentTailDropThreshold, which should be used on current implementations instead.
