ewnRingCtrl

Module: EtherWAN-ewnSwitchM

OID (symbolic): EtherWAN-ewnSwitchM::ewnRingCtrl

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2736.1.1.14.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Enable/disable the Ring Protocol for the bridge. When 'disable(1)', the ring port will be operating in (R)STP mode if (R)STP is enabled, or placed in a forwarding state if (R)STP is not enabled. When 'enable(2)', the port will be operating in alpha ring mode.

What is ewnRingCtrl?

Enables or disables EtherWAN's Alpha Ring redundancy protocol switch-wide; when disabled(1), ring ports fall back to (R)STP mode if enabled, or plain forwarding if not, whereas enable(2) puts the ring ports into Alpha Ring mode for fast ring-based failover.
