extremeDlcsBindingType
Module: EXTREME-DLCS-MIB
OID (symbolic): EXTREME-DLCS-MIB::extremeDlcsBindingType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.8.6.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Bits
Access: read-only
Description: The type of binding expressed here. A given bit is set if DLCS has detected that the two relevant items are bound together. e.g. an entry with application2user(3) set to 1 implies that the username extremeDlcsBindingUser has been seen to be using the application extremeDlcsBindingApplication. In addition, if this entry also has user2port(1) set to 1 then this user and application have been detected as running on the physical switch port extremeDlcsBindingPhysPort.
What is extremeDlcsBindingType?
This bitmask object indicates which kinds of association DLCS has detected for this binding entry, with bits like user2ip(0), application2user(3), or host2ip(5) each set independently when that relationship has been observed. Administrators read this to understand exactly what the entry represents, since a single row can carry multiple simultaneous associations, such as both application2user(3) and user2port(1) set together to show a user running an application on a specific switch port. For example, an entry with only ip2port(2) set tells the admin DLCS has correlated an IP address to a physical port but hasn't yet identified an associated user or application.
