Module: EVNTAGENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): EVNTAGENT-MIB::eventVar5

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.13.1.9999.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Event-specific variable data

What is eventVar5?

This OCTET STRING is the fifth of up to fifteen event-specific variable slots included on Windows event traps such as w32ServiceControlSuccess and w32NtpSynchSuccess. An admin correlates its value against the specific trap definition, since the same numbered slot is reused for unrelated data depending on which event populated it. On a w32ServiceControlSuccess trap, eventVar5 might record which control code (such as stop or pause) was successfully delivered to the service.
