Description: Incoming packets received on the uplink interface with the VLAN priority equal to vlanPriority in the vlanPrioToRxQueuePrioMappingEntry, are mapped to the receive queue priority specified with this parameter.
Note: Different products may implement different number of receive priorities. One is the highest receive priority.
What is rxPriority?
This setting specifies which receive-queue priority incoming downstream packets get assigned to, for packets whose VLAN priority tag matches the value configured in the same table row. Administrators configure this mapping to ensure that higher-priority services, like voice, get routed to a receive queue that's serviced first when the downlink interface can't keep up with incoming traffic. For example, an admin might map VLAN priority 7 (highest) to rxPriority 1 (highest queue) to guarantee voice traffic is forwarded before lower-priority best-effort data during congestion.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.72.600.10.20.20.15.5.15 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ETHERNET-CONFIGURATION::rxPriority
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.72.600.10.20.20.15.5.15.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ETHERNET-CONFIGURATION::rxPriority.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.72.600.10.20.20.15.5.15.1 i <value>
