alarmAckTime

Module: ERICSSON-ALARM-IRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERICSSON-ALARM-IRP-MIB::alarmAckTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3881.2.1.8.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DateAndTime

Access: read-write

Description: This object represents the time when the subject alarm was acknowledged. This object shall always be set or cleared in the same set request as the 'alarmAckUser' object defined above. The system will respond with 'inconsistentValue' upon attempts to set this object without setting 'alarmAckTime'. The time indication is in UTC (Co-ordinated Universal Time).

What is alarmAckTime?

This read-write object records the UTC time an alarm was acknowledged, and per the MIB it must always be set or cleared in the same SET request as alarmAckUser, with the agent returning inconsistentValue if it's set alone. An admin relies on this timestamp to measure response time between an alarm's occurrence and its acknowledgment by staff. For example, a NOC system might flag any alarm where alarmAckTime lags more than 15 minutes behind alarmEventTime as a delayed response.
