Description: This fields holds default ethertype 0x8100 or zero if ethertype 0x8100 is not used to classify SVLAN on current interface.

What is eltIfDot1qCustomIngressEtherType1?

This read-write Integer32, indexed by ifIndex and restricted to the values 0 or 33024 (0x8100), holds the default EtherType used to classify the outer S-VLAN tag on ingress for this interface, with 0 meaning the standard 0x8100 EtherType is not used for that classification. Admins leave this at its default of 33024 in normal 802.1q deployments, only setting it to 0 when the interface instead relies solely on the custom EtherType slots (types 2-7) to classify S-VLAN tags. For example, a port interoperating exclusively with a third-party device using a non-standard tag EtherType would have eltIfDot1qCustomIngressEtherType1 set to 0, deferring S-VLAN classification entirely to the custom EtherType values configured elsewhere in the entry.
